One of my heroes in my life would be my Uncle Pete. He was one of my closest uncles until he came down with a mental illness and passed away at the age of 40 from a heart attack. He died when I was 5 so I remember things vaguely. I remember he would come over a lot and he always used to bring either money or McDonald milkshakes for my sisters and I. I also remember he used to always wear sweatpants over.
He is my hero because he was a great uncle but more than just an uncle, a good friend to everyone. He always was happy and had a sense of humor to get everybody else in a good mood. What inspires me everyday with him are his younger years when he was a young adult. He was a very good baseball player and almost made it into the pros! He also played many other sports like football. He served for the U.S. in the Army for 4 years.
He was known as a hero not only to the U.S. but also to me! He went to college and had a 4.0 GPA every time! He was a great guy and I will miss him forever! When he passed away March 17, 2000, which I remember very clearly that night, he chose to donate his organs. He meant well. My Uncle Pete was not only a hero to me but my dad.
My dad decided to start his own hat company called SpiritDomes
. It is a company inspired by my uncle. While my dad and he grew up he always said he wanted to be called Samuel which is his middle name. So the company is inspired by Samuel Peters. My dad got the SpiritDomes, into Lids stores! I feel that my uncle is watching out for our family in heaven. As you can see a lot of people loved him!
Again, he was a great guy!
